What we collect
Parity doesn't have a server-side database and doesn't set cookies until you accept our analytics banner. If you accept, we use Google Analytics to understand overall traffic (which pages get visited, roughly how many people, which country/browser) — we don't collect anything that identifies you individually, and you can decline or clear your choice at any time.
What's stored on your device
This site saves a few preferences in your browser's local storage: your light/dark/system theme, your chosen display currency on the Compare page, your chosen countries and currency on the Compare Countries page, your pinned home country, and your cookie/country banner choices. None of it ever leaves your device or is sent to us or anyone else. If you accept analytics, Google Analytics separately sets its own cookies — see below.
Analytics cookies
If you accept our cookie banner, Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (like _ga) in your browser to distinguish visits and sessions. This is separate from the local storage above — cookies are sent to Google on each page load. Declining the banner, or not answering it, means these cookies are never set. Google's own privacy policy governs how they handle this data.
Links to Apple's store
Store links on this site take you to Apple's own website. Once you're there, Apple's own privacy policy applies. Parity has no involvement in or visibility into what happens on Apple's site.
